Modern Slavery Statement
Version: 1.0 (Updated August 2025)
Applies to: Strive
1. Introduction
Strive is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of its work. Although Strive is a small counselling organisation and does not fall within the threshold of businesses legally required to publish a modern slavery statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we believe it is important to set out our values and approach.
2. Our Commitment
– Strive has a zero-tolerance approach to slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking.
– We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business relationships.
– We will implement and enforce systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place in any part of our operations or supply chains.
3. Scope of Activities
Strive provides counselling services within the UK. Our direct operations involve employees, volunteers, placement counsellors, and contractors. We do not operate in high-risk sectors or countries, and our supply chain is limited to professional services and IT platforms that support counselling delivery.
4. Steps We Take
– Conduct due diligence when engaging suppliers, contractors, and partners.
– Ensure that contracts and agreements include appropriate ethical expectations.
– Raise awareness of modern slavery with counsellors, volunteers, and contractors as part of induction.
– Encourage reporting of any concerns relating to modern slavery, with assurance that these will be taken seriously and investigated.
5. Responsibility
The Proprietor/CEO holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring that Strive meets its obligations in preventing modern slavery. Concerns or suspected breaches should be reported directly to the Proprietor/CEO.
6. Review
This statement will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in legislation, organisational activity, or best practice.
